GCA: Figure painting workshop

And finally, the most awaited workshop began. The instructor, Scott Waddell, is one of my favorite painters and one of the guys that knows more about anatomy, light and perspective. Really impressive. With SO MUCH expectation, the fear to deception was around, but so far, JUST two days working, I can say this workshop it's BEING really really great! Scott is a terrific teacher and his demo, comments and corrections are really insightful.

This workshop will have three stages: drawing (and transfer), Ebauche and Final Painting
The drawing stage I think is working... but who knows what the future prepare for us in the painting stage! :)

Finalmente, el workshop que mas esperaba y que mas ganas tenia de hacer, ha comenzado. El instructor es uno de los pintores del momento que mas admiro (Scott Waddell), una de las personas que mas sabe y mas incluye de anatomia, funcionamiento de la luz y perspectiva en sus trabajos. Con toda esta expectativa, y habiendo sido tan buenos los workshops anteriores, el temor a la desilusion merodeaba frenetico.

Solo vamos dos dias de trabajo, pero ya puedo decir que esta siendo genial. Mucha data, mucha informacion, anatomia, perspectiva, construccion, etc, etc, etc. Scott sabe mucho, y lo usa para explicar lo que esa haciendo y para corregir.

El workshop tendra tres fases: dibujo (y transfer), ebauche y pasada final. Los objetivos del dibujo son tener informacion suficiente para hacer el transfer y tener de donde agarrarse en el modelado de la forma.

Por el momento, el dibujo viene bien. Trabajar de modelo vivo realmente es lo mejor del mundo. Quien sabra que pasara cuando empecemos a pintar!
